HOW NOT TO GET A VIRUS
Ok I seen many people get their computer infected with viruses. These virus can just staying in your computer and infect other computer, or they can do very malicious things like stealing password, record every key you typed and attacking/hacking other computers.
Do not visit free porn/warez/free stuff sites
Visiting those site can get drive by download and infect your computer. Use Yahoo search will tell you whether the site is safe or not.
Enable windows automatic update and allow software update to install.
Enable windows update can patch and secure your pc, allow software updates to install for adobe acrobat reader and flash.
Install antivirus/security solution
Installing anti virus/security suite can protech your pc from malware. I recommend Norton, kaspersky and bitdefender. Internet security is full security suite which include firewall. Firewall monitor your network and block virus/hack from other network.
AVG/Avira free edition is free and good anti virus but it doesn't provide firewall.
Disable autorun on all drive
Disable autorun via Group policy, You need a windows updates to make it work.
